This is for my brother and future sister-in-law. They're having a wedding with lots of bright colors (the color of my Best Sister dress is close to one of the turquoise blues).
No pattern for this one, just making it up as I go. I usually quilt by hand, but got a great quilting idea from Shelly that I'm planning to try out to use for this one: http://shellysquilts.blogspot.com/2009/05/eagle-has-landed.html
I moved to a small town in West Texas in early 2008. After moving 11 times in the past 10 years, I'm enjoying putting down roots, the slower pace of life out here, and the ability to indulge in creative interests, such as my mad quilter addiction.
You can contact me at TexasRedBooks [at] yahoo [dot] com or on Twitter to talk about this blog, quilting in general, or pretty much anything.

Beautiful! You've got some great pieces of work.
Thanks for stopping by. :)
Wow! It almost looks like flames in the heart! Nice job!
Happy WW!
Ooooo, I like this. Very interesting. Well done!
That is beautiful.
Really lovely - and I like the satiny fabric. Are you using a pattern or is this all you?
Thanks guys!

So beautiful! Looks very complicated!
Tex, this quilt is coming along beautifully. You must find this very relaxing. I used to love hand stitching. :)
