Wordless Wednesday - First Baby Quilt

A little more disciplined than the pure crazy quilt (but only a little). I had lots of fun making this (I remember piecing it together on the floor of a Chicago apartment). I have heard that the little girl still sleeps with it on her bed. Just finished a quilt for her baby sister a year ago.

What a cute quilt! I'm just learning quilting, myself... actually, still working on my very first quilt, but I can see why people enjoy it so much. Your quilts are beautiful!

Thank you! I've enjoyed playing around with the fabrics and shapes the past couple of years.

How beautiful! This is something I wish I had learned to do.

Hello from another Texan! Beautiful work on the quilt! My mom's a quilter but I've never gotten into it myself. I prefer crochet or knitting. We're all creative beings in our family but I've always admired the time and skill it takes to quilt. And finding the right colors is a skill all to its own.

Happy WW!

Wow - lovely quilt!! could you send me 3 of those - that's how many baby gifts IO need right now - ha!!! Maybe I should re-learn how to quilt - we used to quilt pillows and sell them while our hubbies were on deployment!

Ollie - I know the feeling! Last spring was crazy for me with baby gifts. Right now I just have a wedding quilt in the works for October and need to start a baby quilt for November/December.
